Looking for book recommendations for tweens and young teen boys that are appropriate for Tisha Bav. Could be Holocaust related or churban, but something light enough that will hold their attention.
Also interested for adults, as well. Thanks!

A Time to Weep (apparently available at eichlers) and The Harp were always my go to books. There’s also a new book called Return to Yerushalayim by Yehudis Litvack that I bought for myself to read. Additionally, there’s a historical fiction book about the events surrounding churban bayis rishon that is excellent, but I can’t remember what it is called.

Here’s the Harp. Apparently they reprinted it. It’s excellent. https://www.feldheim.com/the-harp-1

The other book is Song of Redemption by Zecharya Hoffman. My almost 15 year old son loves it. I couldn’t find it because he had it in his room.

If you’re looking for additional ideas, go to the book publisher websites- ArtScroll, Feldheim, so on. They all have a 3 weeks/tisha b’av section that will give you the names of all of their offerings.

Forever My Jerusalem- by Puah Shteiner, an excellent book about a young girl and her family during 1948 when they were put under siege and then expelled from the Old City

I was planning on reading this one myself. I'm assuming it's not for teens?

If your son would be willing to give it a try, he'd probably do well with To Vanquish The Dragon, even if it is a girl memoir.

It's suitably horrific and also age-appropriate and also the characters are uplifting and inspiring through all the horror.
