Searching for a laundry detergent that won't cause my boys' dark pants to fade.
I've been using Woolite for darks, but I really don't think it cleans all that well - maybe it's really formulated for only delicates. But I find that Tide and other regular detergents really leech the colors from dark clothing. Any recommendations?

Tide is harsh on darks I use Persil intense fresh (don't like the originally scent) from the makers of Wisk.

We have been using Arm and Hammer ocean breeze for years. Try to use very little detergent with each load and you’ll see yours and your family’s clothes will be beautiful and no fading.

I use Gain for the dark laundry. I find it cleans really well, but doesn't fade the clothes.

Tip: wash dark and colored garments inside out. Yes, it does make a difference.

Add 1/4 cup vinegar to the load, especially important the first few times you wash.
Use cool water.
Don't put clothes in dryer if you don't have to. That really fades clothes.

Good you mentioned the good old vinegar hack Smile
It's excellent for dyed cotton silk linen fabrics as it sets the color and prevent fabrics bleeding in the wash

Why do you add it? I'm using it as a detergent on itself, I use it for darks
