If your husband is learning, what do you declare his kollel check as-self employment?

I believe its considered a stipend - ask your accountant.

We are in kollel, and we report the kollel check as a stipend, and tutoring as self employment (which sucks because we pay a lot of taxes on that).
I think it depends how much tutoring you are doing - if its a very small amount it could probably be reported as part of the stipend - dh makes $650 tutoring one seder a day....
