We’re in Flatbush, and my family in Israel keeps telling me to be careful bc the war in Israel could affect the Jews here too
My intrusive thoughts are scaring me about something happening in Yeshivas, Chas veshalom (school shooting)
I kept my children home today and I’m scared to even leave the house
Am I silly to call their schools and ask if they added security?
My children can’t wait to go back to school but I’m a nervous wreck

O plan on calling school to find out about security. Do that. I also plan on picking up my son so no bussing

I am not nervous about my boys I was a tiny bit nervous about my girl in the early childhood building but I talked to the director of facilities and he was super reassuring so I recommend calling if you can. I was very happy to hear that they are really stepping it up tomorrow.

How about Monsey?
How about shuls?
I never see security outside the million shuls in Monsey and the doors are open for the public!

Our shul has added security. Yes every shul and Jewish school etc should do so.
