I take shabbos as my rest day. over a 3 day yomtov I will take a healthy walk.

I once heard a young rav passionately insist that you are allowed to exercise on shabbos, even intense exercise, if you enjoy it and feel good after and it increases your oneg shabbos. I don't think that's the mainstream view, though.
