People used to do it with radio and television. A shiur is a new twist. Would be interesting to hear what your LOR would say. My guess is that it’s not allowed.

According to those who hold it isn't allowed, a TV is worse. You're listening to business related things, you're benefiting from any Jews who are desecrating Shabbos, it's zilzul Shabbos and a few other reasons.

During the first year of corona of there was one poster who prepared a playlist for the Seder, to switch on before candle lighting. She lived alone, and felt that would be the best way to avoid a horrifically silent amd lonely Seder. When she mentioned her plans here, there were very mixed reactions.

This caused her to actually ask about the halacha. I don't remember what answer she got, and whether it was technically permitted, but she was very strongly advised not to use the playlist, and un the end she didn't.

I remember one potential issue that was raised was the risk of ma'aris ayin, should anyone else happen to hear it.

Find a good sefer instead.
