Hi can someone please explain the difference between the Medicaid card and the EBT?
Recently had a baby and got what I'm assuming is the Medicaid card which comes with the insurance. Is there money on those cards I should check for?

2 separate things.
Medicaid is health insurance and EBT is money to buy food.
Did this clarify it?

Thank you
And do the cards look the same? Blue NY state card?
The money that ppl were finding on their cards was just on ebt?

You have to apply for EBT separately.
People were finding money on special pebt cards sent out for school age children during covid

They look the same the cards.
But for a baby you wouldn't get any EBT so no need to check their card
