Raspberry Almond Crumble Bars
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup of quick oats
3/4 cup of sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup butter/margarine
1 jar (235 ml) Raspberry fruit spread (I just used berry jam)
1 cup of shreddies cereal
1/2 cup of chopped almonds
- Preheat oven to 350
-In a bowl and using fork, combine flour, oats, sugar and baking powder. Stir in butter/margarine. Press half of mixture into bottom of the greased 8-inch square pan, setting remainder aside. Bake on middle oven rack for 10 minutes
-in bowl, combine fruit spread, shreddies cereal, and almonds. Spread over cooked base. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture. Gently pressing down. Bake for another 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- cool in pan on rack, cut into bars
Makes about 16 bars

Sounds delicious but what are Shreddies? Never heard of them...
