Jpf/Lakewood
Made a small bar mitzvah recently. DS received approx 20 gifts (cash, checks, sefarim).
What are boys doing as thank you cards nowadays? I know when my brothers had bar mitzvahs my parents bought them personalized thank you cards with their names. Is that what's still done? Can I just buy a pack of 20 cards that say "thank you" on them?
Please advise a first time bar mitzvah Mom!

Pack of generic thank you cards is fine. That’s what we usually get from bar mitzvah boys.

I made my son write out his cards. 2 or 3 lines
He did 5 a night, took abt 2 weeks.
They weren't as professional looking as printed ones but it taught him responsibility & manners.
