Exclusively formula feeding question

I'm planning to formula feed my baby from birth iyH. Will I get meds to stop the milk coming in, or do I just suffer through it?!

I suffered through it and it really wasn’t so bad. Started formula feeding after 3 weeks.

No. Ice packs and sports bras. Milk dried up in 7-10 days.

Not such suffering. I put cabbage leaves within a few days was gone. Really wasnt big deal.

There are no meds to take? I feel like if I have to deal with the whole milk drying up thing anyway, I may as well give the colostrum to the baby iyH

I think there is a pill they give you at the hospital to dry up your supply if you plan to formula feed only.

Don't know what it's called but my sister took it. She lives in Israel

My mom got it in the 70s but in the US today as far as I know it’s not given. Maybe because its really not necessary.

If you don't stimulate your breasts it will dry out pretty quickly on its own.

Milk dried up within 2 days I didn’t do anything besides wear a nursing pad obviously

If you don't express any milk at all it dries up within 48-72 hours.

But only once the milk comes in. My milk is is ally comes in 4-5 days post partum. With sports bras and ice packs from birth on I dry up by 7-10 days post partum

Check Amazon there are supplements and creams you can take

But I agree with giving baby some colostrum if possible

In my experience if you never start nursing the milk it’s not nearly as uncomfortable as if you. When I didn’t nurse at all it took a couple of days for my milk to come then then maybe 1 or 2 days of being uncomfortable and it was over. When I did nurse even for shorter periods that dragged out a lot longer.

Thereare pills to take but not sure all drs give them.

People do take them if they have a miss or similar.
I have heard that they can mess with your hormones but I do know people who have taken then and were absolutely fine.

Personally, I wore a super tight bra ALL THE TIME and did not stimulate breasts at all.
I also took painkillers for the first few days.
Bh wasnt too bad at all.

With one of mine I switched at 3 weeks and it was waay harder once I had already started producing milk.

Hi - don’t have kids yet. Can someone please answer, if you don’t express milk and don’t take pills, do your breasts stay bigger after? What’s the story with that? If also heard that if you breastfeed they get smaller after? Sorry if tmi, would appreciate an answer
