Why do got think it’s a scam? It could have been the wrong item shipped .
It could be a gift someone ordered to ship straight to you .
Does it have your name on the order ? Your payment info?

I had the same. It was a non Kosher food type item. I received it once and ignored, I just assumed it was an error. Happened a second time 6 months later and it was just bizarre! I contacted Amazon and all my relatives but none of them had a clue. The weird part is that mine was to my parents address, but in my married name. Very few people would have that combination saved as me (I’m married over 10 years…).

It's so random no one that knows us would send this. It has my name on it. It doesn't show up under orders in my account.

Apparently Amazon sellers deliver stuff randomly and then they can make reviews because items are considered delivered so they make reviews on themselves that way.

I heard this too. I've received random items twice, once a whole case of a food item.

Basically the seller sent it to you as a gift. You can't send it back because u didn't buy it. The seller, is also the buyer. So now he can write himself an amazing review.

Where do they get names from?
I guess they can just go through the phone book.

Maybe they are a seller that she once ordered another product from through Amazon. Just taking a wild guess of how they have the contact info.

This happened to me. It didn't show in my account but did show on my credit card. Apparently the scammer opened a new account linked to my account and was able to use the cc on my account to order stuff. I don't know if it coming to me was a mistake or intentional but if intentional sometimes they do it as practice to see if they will get caught.

If it's on your cc, take my advice and dispute it with the cc company rather than Amazon. Amazon customer service was a nightmare and I gave up getting my money back.
