I was off a $1 and meant to give her 4 quarters, mistakenly gave her a half dollar coin. Oops! Is it worth more than .50?

Nope. It’s worth fifty cents.

I think it depends how old they are.
I was just looking up the value of some I had from the 70s and they were worth closer to $10. I am not sure what you can do now. You can try texting her and asking to exchange it next time.

It really depends on the specific coin (date/rarity)
A lot are worth their face value, but a some are worth at least a few dollars and anywhere up to hundreds of thousands of dollars (or millions in extremely rare cases)
At this point what’s done is done, so I’d take the easiest route and assume it was a standard coin that wasn’t anything special and wasn’t worth more than 50 cents

Some quarters are worth more than their face value and can be found circulating sometimes too.
