I currently feed my baby 6 times a day. Can I work to bring that down to five? She’s 3 months

No please don’t do that. Babies need to eat and don’t try to limit her food intake and make it less.
it’s better for baby to eat more meals then to stuff it all in at spread out intervals. How often do
you feed your baby? 3 months is so little you should let baby eat when it wants to eat.

this is kind of a weird post. if your baby is currently having 6 bottles that is obviously what they need. why would you not want them to have enough food?

What does it say on the box?

Are you trying to cut out night feed?

My baby always had one less bottle then said on the box and she was fine.

Obviously if they are waking up at night they may be hungry but you have to figure it out.
It may just be for comfort oe out of habit.

One thing I did was, every time I upped the bottles in the day, I didnt up the ones in the night

So she never got used to having a big feed in the night and eventually we dropped it.

I think op means increase the amount she gets per feed for less total feeds

I wouldn't try to decrease bottles until starting solids. Remember that this is all of their hydration also! Imagine only being offered a drink of water 5x a day

This. Bottles is for hydration you can’t offer your baby a drink just 5 times a 24 hour period.

Babies need to eat.
Babies need to stay hydrated
My doc says if the baby that age sleeps more than 5 hrs you should wake them up
If sleep is an issue try feeding at mid night then 5am

Babies at that age are normally fed 5-6 times a day.
They usually eat 6-7 oz at a time.
Once they start finishing a 6 oz bottle, I prepare 7-8 ounces. If they are not hungry they usually don’t eat it but often it’s time to increase.
As your baby gets older, the baby will need more ounces of formula per day before starting solid food.
If your baby is waking up more than 1x per night it’s possible that the baby is hungry and should be fed more before going to sleep.
Whatever you do, do not decrease the amount the baby eats per day.

Obvs would not decrease oz - just the amount of feedings!
She currently sleeps through the night so I’m going with the assumption that she’s not hungry. Her dr has said that her current schedule is ok since she’s gaining nicely is a happy baby and sleeps well.

The 1230am one. She’s so tight asleep it’s impossible to get her to drink that bottle and it ends up taking a full hour

You wake her up to feed her at 12:30?
When did she last eat before then?
It’s possible you can skip that feeding since that’s considered the middle of the night but she will probably wake up starving at 3-4am which is normal.

I wouldn’t just skip the feeding I would up the oz throughout the day. She eats every 3.5 hours

Or I would add a feeding somewhere else before she goes to bed for the night even if it's close to previous feed

Thats a completely different story. Let your baby sleep if she's sleeping fine! If she would be hungry she'd wake up.

She might be hungrier during the day if she starts skipping that feed which is fine, just be aware.
