Ups rang my bell and immediately OPENED MY DOOR. He made me sign for a package. It wasn't even an important pkg that required a signature. He could have just rang the bell and left it like all other drivers do.

And I hate when they leave packages without letting me know.

They can't please everyone. Let it go!

I thought the sender chooses if signature is required, not ups.

He opened your door? That’s not ok.

Signing is sometimes required

I wouldn't care that they rang my bell for a signature. But opening a door? (Why don't you lock your door?). NO, no, no. Very violating and I don't know what it might accomplish but I'd complain.

Yes he opened the door. This is the 2nd time the driver has done this. I recognized him he once opened my door on a Friday night

Omg my ups driver did that last week but then he apologized and really it wasn’t totally his fault he kinda leaned on the handle to grab the knocker and it wasn’t 100% closed. I think.

I would definitely complain.

It's a really good idea to lock your door. Regardless of whether you choose to complain or not. There are, unfortunately, worse things that could happen than UPS guy opening it. Start better safety habits.

I would learn to lock my door. If UPS can open it so can others.

I'll echo about locking your door.

But I'm wondering if you live in an area with lots of multi-family units?
I live in condos (brooklyn). The first floor homes (including mine) have a private door, and the second and third floor have a shared door to a Vestibule. A lot of the UPS drivers leave the packages in the Vestibule as opposed to on the porch, to prevent theft. It could be your UPS driver is used to opening doors in your neighborhood because they're usually not private residences.

PSA - everyone should keep their front doors locked at all times!!
- so UPS drivers shouldn't come in
- MIL can't walk in on you
- Mother can't walk in on you
- and any other unwanted person can't walk in,
I'm literally shocked how many people leave their front doors unlocked
