You can make a paste using soft scrub and baking soda and smear it around the oven.. let it sit for a few minutes.. then wash it off with a soft shmatta.. dry it.. you’ll see a brand new oven.. I learned this from an appliance man in my shana rishona and have been doing it ever since.

You can mix it together until it looks like a paste.. it should look goopy..it works wonders.. and you can also use a soft sponge that’s wet not to wet and wash it off.. and then buff it dry.. it should look new.. just f do not do it on the oven window or wires..
a rule of thumb is to put a cookie sheet under your cooking trays- this way your oven stays clean..
Happy cleaning

You’re right, it’s called rubbers.. you can put it in the walls, inside oven door- not the glass part, and watch it get gorgeous.. let me know how it goes 😉
