Just remembered I made smoothies for my nephews upsherin I made them a day in advance and before serving my sister-in-law shook the smoothies for 2 min. and they were delicious.

whenever I finish an apple juice, or grape juice I wash out the bottle and save it I always keep 3-4 bottles in case I want to make a smoothie or mocha drink or punch for yom tov they have very good covers and it is easy to shake up this way.

Fruit Smoothie
10 cups frozen fruit (I use strawberries)
5 cups vanilla yogurt
1/2 gallon milk
2/3-1 cup sugar (depending how sweet you like it)

Blend in blender all ing. till smooth and thick (I did it in 2 shifts my blender was not large enough to do it all at once)

like a jelly roll just made with chocolate cake and white cream filling. Any grocery store or bakery sells it. you can also make your own but I take the easy way and buy one.

So some people never cook dairy in an oven? You can't cook stuff in the oven with foil over it? Maybe some people should take a class on Kashrus and see if they're being unecessarily machmir.

We hold that you cannot just put foil over it. It must be at least double wrapped all around without any steam escaping. Meaning, two pans and two covers etc... Mostly if I need to make a real milchig meal that I can't use my convection/toaster oven for, I just self-clean my oven for an hr, which is sufficient to change from milk to meat and vice versa. But some people don't have self-clean ovens.

Maybe some people should just respect that other people do things differently.

Sure, I respect it if they actually ask about what they're doing and that's what they're told to do. It's pathetic when people do extra things just because they're afraid to call a Rabbi. I grew up in a home like that, and it wasn't pleasant.
