I make the kind they have at Mitz Pri in israel. it's just fruit (anything works. bananas, frozen or fresh berries, apples to make it thicker, etc.) and water. it definitely tastes better with milk but the water one is stilll great.

if u dont specifically want cream in it, I make fruit smoothies with just fruit and orange juice to add a bit liquid. its really yummy! I use frozen fruits. I like it best that way. sometimes I freeze fresh fruit for it. I like strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, bananas, sometimes mango. if u like it tart u can add kiwi

I freeze all over ripe fruits and then make a smoothie of them when I have time and in the mood. and a dairy smoothie I just add a plain yogurt.

we just make smoothies with OJ, frozen blueberries (very important), strawberries, mango, and pinapple

my dh doesnt like bananas so we dont put that in, you can also add peaches if you'd like

you just want to make sure your blender has a good motor so you dnot destroy it

I just tried an awesome smoothie with coconut milk as its base. It was really good!

I put in frozen bananas, berries, mango chunks, etc...

has anyone tried to put nuts into their smoothies? Like ground up almonds.
I had it once in Israel with my fruit smoothie and it was really good and it adds protein too.

I love my smoothies with yogurt, banana, and frozen fruit like blueberries.
You can add sugar but I don't think it needs to be sweeter then it is already.
Some people add protein powder too.

I would love to hear more people's recipes.

Here's how we make ours:

1/2 banana
1 cup OJ or the juice of 2 oranges
handful of strawberries (can use frozen)
handful of sliced pineapple
3/4 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
between 6-8 icecubes.

BLEND till its a smoothee.
