Okay, I need recipes to make for a dear friend who is due right after Yom Kippur. Her mother in law is coming for Succos, so she has to be able to eat the food too. Here is what I know of her dietary restrictions:
Diabetes, so minimal added sugar, refined flours, etc.
High blood pressure so no/minimal added salt
No mushrooms -- not sure why
Some issues with seeded vegetables (tomatoes, peppers (though peppers might be okay)); must be kept to absolute minimum.
So.
Any fairly simple main or side dish suggestions? Mostly side dishes; a good brisket or baked chicken isn't too complicated with those restrictions.

Green beans
Peas in their pods
Is zuchinni okay? If so, zuchinni kugel.
A salad is easy, just make it with spices instead of sweet.
Noodle kugel (savory) with whole wheat noodles
Just some ideas...

side dish--baked sweet potatoes or butternut squash (no need to add sugar, option to add OJ or cinnamon), something with aubergine (sauteed for a looong time with onions), coleslaw (go easy on dressing) or braised red cabbage (with apples and raisins), potato salad.
