My daughter is currently 11 months old. When she was born I knew she had torticolis, and the dr. was not very concerned. I live in NJ, so I spoke to some friends and they said to contact early intervention asap for a consult and diagnosis since it takes a long time to get set up for services. I started the process at 3 months old.

She has mild torticolis. She had PT once a week, and the PT taught my nanny exercises to do with her. It definitely took her longer to hit milestones. I would say she didn't start rolling both ways until 6 mo, and she just started sitting up straight at 10 mo. She was 1 mo premature, so we can adjust her age too. But the fact is that if you are off-center, your daughter will have a rougher time of hitting milestones because they require balance.

Now, her head doesn't look crooked, and she is progressing more and more each week. It will take her a longer time, but she'll get there. We got her services increased to two times per week.

Feel free to IM me if you need to chat with someone.

I had 2 children with torticollis and they were B"H helped by Dr. Tabick, a brainstem specialist.

He's located in Brooklyn, 6908-11th ave. His phone # is 718 745-8177.

He was our shaliach, B"H! Consultation is free, so you have nothing to lose, I've heard that people from all over the country come to him.

Whatever you decide please take care of it sooner rather than later.
