Just wanted to make sure I understand correctly- MM does not need to have 2 different berachos in it?
Just 2 different foods-right?
What constitues a different food? For example- is a pepper and cucumber ok, is it considered 2 foods
Thanks-

it just needs to be 2 different foods, it can even be the same beracha, (so.. a cucumber and a pepper sounds great!)

two foods, not brachos. An apple and an orange works, and so would a pepper and a cucumber.

Shluchan aruch says quite clearly two "minim"- ie. kinds of food. The 2 brachos thing is a common mistake but it's just that, a mistake. Sure, I learned it as well in day school. But it's simply someone's mistaking "minim" to equal "brachos".
