It is just dh and I for friday night this week and I wanted to make something like meat knish for a main course, but as both of us need to watch our weight, I want to know if there is another type of dough that would be good for a meat filling. If not, any suggestions for a main dish with ground beef?

OVertimecook.com once posted an AMAZING knish dough. Not super healthy or anything but better than puff pastry I think and you can roll it quite thin so you're not eating that much of it but still getting a great knish feel.

Using fillo (phyllo) dough has fewer calories too. use about 5 layers and spray pam in between rather than butter or margarine.

You can fill a blintz crepe with the meat filling.
