Crockpot question

ive been wanting to try to make crock pot dinner but the crock pot I have (only used for cholent so far, and not happy so stopped using it) has a thick ceramic insert. will this work with chicken or meat and potatoes?

anyone have this type of crockpot?

Is it very different than a regular crock insert? I think my insert may be stoneware?
Either way, should be fine! If you see the food is not ready as per recipe instructions, you'll know you have to cook for longer next time.
