I was very into natural mothering, never letting my baby cry and co sleeping. Then I realized how it's not just for me to sleep train, it's for the baby. A well rested baby is a happy baby. I have not suceeded in training my last one too well. I actually want to work on it because he sleeps like 10 hours a night and maybe a 1-2 hour nap during the day. Kids this age need more sleep than that.

As far as toys-I have tons of baby toys but my baby likes my older kids toys even better. Mentchies is his favorite, pulling out and putting them back in the box.

I didnt read the other posts, but is this your first baby?

My first was like that also. I was always looking 'what to do with her' and I realized I was over thinking it.
I made sure everything on her level was safe, and baby proofed the outlets, and made sure sharp corners were covered, and just let her do her own thing.

But, I do think some babies are more content playing on their own, and others need the constant attention, and encouragement. my oldeest was like that, and still like that!

good luck it gets easier as they get older.
