No kosher grocery store but grocery stores with kosher food like cereal, crackers, etc. There used to be a kosher restaurant in the Hiller house on Stanley. I'm not sure if it's still there. No other kosher restaurant.

That would be great! Thanks so much! Again, I am looking for cheaper bargain-type stuff for girls or women, not the high end clothing...

Sorry, one more question. If I want to bring any food from home, will I have trouble getting it across the border into Canada?

Yes! You can't bring in meat or produce. I am not sure about dairy products. You can Che I the border website for more info. The restaurant at the Hillel House IS open. It is meat fast food and cheap. It is called Yossi's. 3460 Stanley on the 2nd floor.

There are several clothing manufacturers in the building at 160 St Viateur:
Lollypop & Maison de Mode on the fifth floor (kids)
Aritex on the eighth floor (also kids)
Myth on the sixth floor (womens)
Simondona on the eighth floor (womens)
There are some more down the street at 5425 De Gaspe:
Un deux trois at street level (kids)
Petit Bouffon & Chez Bambini (kids)
H & L Collection (women's robes)
At an exchange rate of 1.32 or so, you will be getting an automatic 30% discount! All prices are tax included. There is also a dairy restaurant called Milk and honey in 5425 De Gaspe. They are not always open though. The factories are minutes away from the chassidish neighborhood with a plethora of shopping and food options. Deli365 and Oineg for fleishig takeout, Pot de Luzy for milchigs and a large supermarket called Lipa's.
Enjoy your trip!

hoping to get some up to date info
looking to come to montreal for mini vacation (about 3 days) including traveling time
so I'll have one complete day, one half day, and one little bit of morning before I want to leave back home
looking at staying at sheraton hotel downtown,
how far to shuls, kosher restaurants, and is there parking?
what about attractions, is that near attractions?
things I heard about are old port, biodome, amphi tours, so wondering how far away that is, is there parking or public transportation is better?
also love to hear some names of restaurants milchig or fleishig
and a supermarket, want to pick up some of the things that are OUd in america like crunchy corn bran (quaker), aunt jemima pancake mix, if they're still not dairy in canada
thank you in advance, all advice would be very helpful!
