Hi I'm looking for a deep spiritual book or sefer to read. Any suggestions?
Someone told me about Tanya and chovos halevovos.. Any more? I like kabbalistic concepts.
Anonymous because I've asked a lot of friends these last few days

Rabbi Akiva Tatz is great and incorporates mystical thoughts in his work.

-Shnei Luchos Habris (aka the major work of the Shelah), has been translated
-Nefesh HaChaim, has been translated except for the actual Kabbalah parts
-Tomer Devorah, not sure if that's been translated.
- the sefarim of the Maharal, some have been translated
- Daas Tevunos by the Ramchal, not sure if has been translated
- the sefarim of the Chida, don't think they've been translated
These sefarim were all written for Talmidei Chachamim, not for a general audience, so don't be discouraged if you don't understand anything. I like the shiurim of Rav Daniel Glatstein on TorahAnytime.com, because he uses sefarim by the Chida a lot so I don't have to try to understand them.

I just read The Nine Gates by Jiri Langer. It was a really good, esoteric read. The author lived in Prague and was a friend of Kafka and traveled to Belz and became chassidic.
I was actually looking for another similar (deep, chassidic) book but my neighbor suggested that I read the biography of Rebbetzin Batsheva Kanievsky so I am reading that instead, and I am enjoying it.

If you haven't read Chicken Soup with Love and Emunah, I suggest reading that next.
As for OP, I second Rabbi Pincus, zt"l and libadel bein chaim l'chaim, Rabbi Tatz. Rabbi Arush also comes highly recommended.

Rabbi David Aaron has some excellent books. "Seeing G-D" in particular is life changing.

If you like watching/listening to shiurim, Esther Wein does a lot from Rav Moshe Shapiro Zt"l. She's on Torah Anytime.
Rabbi Y Y Jacobson is also there but also has his own site, theyeshiva.net Lots of Tanya etc very well explained.
