Looking for ideas how to put together a bar mitzvah kiddush to go
I don't want to bake myself but would be happy to put together something mezonos packaged nicely - and I'm not sure what else?
How does it work practically?
thanks

My husband recently went to a Lechayim where they gave everyone a bag with some cookies, chocolate, candy, and a small bottle of liquor.
We have made a few Kiddushim with pre-packaged Sterns mini pastries, and put herring into small containers and kichel into a bag. We also served kugel which we pre-portioned into small bowls right before the Kiddush.

You have to buy a pretty box or container to put it into. then you can decide on a color scheme. Like black and white. Buy little black and white cookies and shrink wrap it, then you can put in chocolate and sponge cake. You can add a small bottle of coke or water with some black and white m and ms or other pretty candy. You put in a copy of the invitation or something like that. Tie it up pretty with a bow. If you want to include herring and egg kichel. Which route are you thinking of?

Small box with 2 yodels, personalized cookie, chocolates and a bencher.
For larger can add rugelach and mini bottle of schnapps or wine.
If have fridge space add mini package herring and crackers.

Love these ideas. How do you shrink wrap?

Not OP but bumping to ask if anyone knows where to find mini sectioned pretty little containers for different candies to give out per person?
Maybe something like this but smaller?

Everyone's ideas sound lovely, but just putting it out there that the grab-and-go type kiddushes I've been to in Baltimore are much simpler: a clear plastic bag with handles containing a wrapped Stern's danish and a mini water bottle or other beverage. A pretty label with the Bar Mitzvah boy's name/logo or a message thanking people for participating in the simcha is a bonus.
