My dad lives in Oregon, which is usually pretty temperate.

A couple of days ago, the weather was 115 degrees! Surprised

It's a good thing his wife has more sense than dad. She makes sure he stays indoors and stays cool during the day. Otherwise he'd be out in the noonday sun, pulling weeds, and feeding the goats and chickens. As long as the animals have water, they can wait until later in the evening for food!

Oy. I was wondering if we'd hear from anyone in the PNW. And they probably don't have a/c either. (I wonder if that'll change for a lot of people....) I hope they stay cool, calm, collected.
And bH for fathers' wives. They can be a big bracha for everyone.

By the way, the heatwave seems to have broken in Lakewood. It's 85 now as opposed to 95 or higher the entire week.
