My DD had an MRI for a problem and it was discovered at some point probably in utero or newborn she had a stroke. BH so far all the follow up has been normal. It does not appear the stroke is related to the issue she is having. Just wondering if anyone else had something like this happen??

My nephew had a stroke in utero. He was premature and they discovered it by a neurologist appt when he was a baby

Did your nephew have “issues” they were trying to determine the cause for?

Just as an aside, you may wan to get another dr to read the scans.
I had an mri done at the age of 18 and radiologist wrote it showed previous stroke; a pcp couldn’t see it on the images; a neurologist couldn’t see it either; and repeat tests didn’t show anything either bh, bah. Apparently, smth went wrong in the radiology dept.

My baby started having seizures when he was 2 days old. They did an mri and discovered that he had a stroke in utero. Bh he is now a thriving 4 year old.
