Anyone have a recipe that I can use with a cole slaw bag? I ended up with too many and although we love the traditional cole slaw (with mayo) wondering if I could use a bag or 2 for a different recipe
Thanks

I make my version of health salad, so cabbage, sliced peppers, sliced cucumbers, baby corn. Salt pepper vinegar oil and a little sugar. Tastes really good after it sits in the fridge for a bit

I have bags of plain shredded cabbage (similar to coleslaw mix) and I think I’m going to sautee onion with the cabbage and make Pesach egg noodles for a mock “cabbage n noodles” dish.

sounds yum - do you have an exact recipe for the dressing?
also -how long in the fridge (does a bit mean an hour or 2 or a day or 2?)

Different
Add peppers, sugar, oil, lemon, salt, pepper and let sit for a while mixing every so often.

No recipe I just put everything to taste overtop the vegetables then mix. It tastes great immediately but even better after an hour in the fridge

What do you do with sauteed cabbage? | I like sautéed cabbage as is, sometimes a little sweet and sour with some wine vinegar and sugar. You can also mix with pesach noodles for noodles and cabbage.
Tomato cabbage soup is from kbd entertains, basically sautéed onion and garlic, add some jars of diced or crushed tomato, tomato sauce a strip or 2 or flanken, and the bag of cabbage, cook 2-3 hours. Can make sweet and sour as well, with lemon juice and brown sugar. Yummy!

Cabbage Salad
1 bag shredded cabbage
2 scallions, sliced
1/3 cup silvered almonds, toasted
dressing over salad:
3/4 cup boiling water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Thinking of adding thinly slivered pepper strips.
