Hashem has the world running according to nature. It wouldn’t be natural to only have desire for one person, and then never anyone else.
What would happen if that couple ends up divorced or one spouse passes away c’v? Should the remaining spouse never feel desire for another?

You can say the same about any mitzvah and any Nisayon. If He doesn’t want us to speak Lashon Hara, or do any other sin, why give us a taiva for it?
