Lately ive been finding myself in situations in which people around me are talking loshon hara. Instead of getting up and leaving the area or changing the topic what can I say instead of thats lashon hara. Rebuking but in a nice way?

"I was in need of a yeshua, so I took upon myself an hour a day of not speaking about others. Hour happens to be now. Is it OK if we change topic for now? " (minor fib for a good cause?)

If you know they aren't going to accept tochacha, and you are wanting to talk more, zone out or focus on not being mekabel and segue into the next topic smoothly after a minute.
