Hi!
I have 2 toddlers ages 3 and under and I am pregnant with my third. My kids end their babysitter at 3 and I have to keep them busy until 6:30 when they go to sleep. I'm usually pretty exhausted after I pick them up since I'm expecting.
Any ideas on how to keep them busy and entertained from when I pick them up until they go to sleep?

Thanks in advance!

Is there any local playground with a set designed for that age, that you can just let them run around in? Even once it's cold and they're in a coat, that can eat up a good hour.

I invested in a lot of toddler toys- things with different colors to sort, peg puzzles, magna tiles, lots and lots of mentchies and cars, and I sat with them on the floor for a while just playing with a different few toys each day, rotating them so they didn't get bored. We also read a lot of books. And we have a mini indoor toddler trampoline that I trust them on by themselves. By now my third one is here and he's almost a year old, and my older two are very busy together with pretend play so they don't need me to entertain them as much. So there's hope!

Oh, I also meant to say- bath time is your friend! It's like waterplay. Make it fun. Get cute toys. Put pompoms and things to scoop them with and buckets to scoop them into. Turn the water fun colors with food color before they get in- if it's thoroughly mixed with the water it won't stain them. Give them sponges to squeeze water from one bucket to another. Get those pool diving toys that sink to the bottom. Get the Crayola bathrooms paints that they can color on the walls with. Get cheap shaving cream and spray it on the wall and let them go nuts with it. Every day would be overkill but at least twice a week or even three times they can spend a good hour just playing around, and you can refill with more warm water if it gets too cold.

Lots of structure. Work backward. If bedtime
Is 6:30 then bedtime routine (book, milk, etc) starts at 6. Which means bath time
Starts at (let’s say) 5:30, which means dinner is 5. So it’s really only 2 hours !!
