Is going off sugar enough to make me lose weight?

Yes
It’ll take a bit of time but absolutely
I went off sugar & white flour last may & prob lost 20 pounds.
I don’t weigh myself but I know I lost.
But you NEED to be patient.
It’s not a fad diet, it’s a new life style.

It may, but it also depends what you’ll be substituting it with.

I have been off white flour for years and have also been very low sugar. I was still 200lb. Around 2 months ago, I strictly went off sugar completely. I am still 200lb.

I went off white flour and sugar in august and have lost 35 pounds. I do cheat every now and then, but mostly am good about it.
I also drink mostly water and no juices.
It took a while to start seeing the weight come off, but it did.
It does work.

I would assess your entire diet. Is sugar bad for you? Yes. But other foods can be just as damaging. Too much fat, not enough fiber, too much processed foods, not enough fluids.

I went off most sugar and I am following a healthy lifestyle program rather than a true diet (because I will immediately gain weight if I diet). It is scientifically based and I have lost the weight I needed to. I have also noticed that my arthritis isn’t flaring up as it usually does in the winter. I think going off sugar has made a huge difference. Plus I no longer have cravings.

If you replace your sugar/candy/chocolate with potato chips, you will not lose weight. If you replace it will celery stick you will.

I went off sugar and lost a lot of weight, but it really depends on other factors.
If you simply stop eating sugar but you're still eating high calorie meals, fried foods, not enough vegetables and not exercising, you likely will not lose weight.
If you want to lose significant weight then you need to look at your entire diet and lifestyle in order to make a more conscious decision.
