I’ve been there, it was very nice. In the winter they had the heating on too high and I had to change rooms because the window in my first room didn’t open. But if you go in the summer it shouldn’t be a problem.

Is the hotel in a commercial or residential area? Can you walk around on Shabbos?

It's a fairly commercial area, but walkable to nicer parts of Tenafly.

There's a really cute cafe area just down the road from there. Follow the train tracks. Not shabbosdik but trendy. Love Davis Johnson park it's so pretty and 7 minute walk from hotel. Chabad is about 10 minutes away and you'll pass by the cafes on the way. Idk why anyone said it's commercial area. Hardly at all.

Would you go there for Shabbos? We are looking to get away and must have a minyan.

It's also about a mile from Kesher if you need a minyan. I don't know what Chabad is like on Shabbos, but they have a beautiful building.

Chabad has a minyan every day. I'm not sure how covid impacted that.

There are no bad neighborhoods in Tenafly. It’s one of the richest towns in NJ.
