Why the heck would you choose to go to San Francisco? It’s awful there. Stinky and full of homeless people doing drugs all over the sidewalks. Not a place for kids and not an enjoyable city.
The weather isn’t even nice!!
Went once and wouldn’t go again.
If you're flying that far chose San Diego, Arizona, Palm Springs.

Out of curiosity, what shul and kosher food did you come across, because we found SF to be among the hardest big cities to find Jewish amenities. When we went, there was just one restaurant in Chinatown where we had a long wait to get a table, and I remember DH having a hard time driving cross town in traffic and finding parking just to find a Chabad with a minyan. Most other cities this size were far easier.

This. We couldn’t even find (non PY) kosher bread in a supermarket.

Trader joe has different hechsherim on bread in different parts of the country since they’re baked locally. It’s been a few years perhaps it changed. But I remember buying wraps because I couldn’t find bread
