my baby has atopic dermatitis ( eczema) and unexplained episodes of hives
he is allergic to egg too, he seems to get an infection in his belly button often and I think it might co-incide with when the eczema flares up.
does anyone have a similar experience?

My DD (aged 2) often gets mild infection in her belly button. It's deep and obviously dirt gets trapped.
Aside from obviously cleaning it as well as I can (which she makes a struggle) I will put on Savlon or Germolene when I see it flare up. If it gets worse, Doctor gave me Fucidin.
Don't know if this info helps, as ur daughter has eczema and allergy?
