That would be dangerous. There will be 50,00 without little kids. And it’s now so not possible.

There are live hookups and schools are showing them .
This makes more sense safety wise and also, this way everyone will be able to listen better instead of being overwhelmed by crowds

My sons school sent out a text that it’s logistically impossible to bring them, but you can pick up your kids to bring them with you if want
Also, I’ve been listening in, it’s all in Yiddish. I don’t think my boys would understand

That makes sense.
Are there any links to a hookup for my mother who is home bound and cannot make it?

There is no live stream, as per request from the family as it goes against everything the mashgiach stood for
There are call in numbers
347-202-0666
732-645-9444
857-347-0100 Ext 125000, 001,002,003,004,005,006

If you want your kids to be there, then you should take them. It is not realistic to expect schools to take responsibility for their students at such a large scale event.

There’s also the aspect of bitul Torah from missing yeshiva which has to be balanced with the kavod Hatorah of attending the levaya.

My school is also taking the 12th grade.

And my Mesivta boys also went with their Mesivtas.

But younger, I'm glad that they're staying in their schools with hookups or callin.
It's a mob scene there.
And cold.
And the speeches being in Yiddish mean that kids will get bored, restless and wander. There is no way that a Rebbi or school can keep the kids safe like that.

DD's school said same, and also that they are trying to arrange a hookup.

I really feel like I am in mourning today.
Rabbi Salamon came to Lakewood not long after I did, so most of my life in Lakewood was with his presence. He was really there for anyone who wanted, and I can say for DH and myself, we got so much chizzuk, advice, etc.. from him in the years when he was physically able....I also have memories of the times he would speak to Ladies, like before YK and Shavuos, to a packed hall. He spoke with tremendous warmth, his style was always positive and uplifting.
From the way he spoke and the things he said...I truly always hoped he would lead us to greet Mashiach.

May he be a meiltiz yosher for all of us.
