My almost 2 yr old has been waking at 5 am every morning for the last 2 weeks. His room is dark, he has a noise machine.. he goes to sleep between 6:30-7. Take a nice 1.5 hr nap. Any ideas what cld be causing this? Until now he was waking at 7.

Maybe he needs less sleep. My 2 year old goes to sleep at 8:00 and is up around 6:30-7:00.

Does he nap still? Prob needs less sleep if so.

In my experience kids that still naps don't go to sleep before 8:00.

He's getting enough sleep. My toddlers that nap, don't go to sleep for the night before 8:30-9:00.

Be prepared that he may still wake up early tomorrow. It may take a couple of weeks for his body to get used to the new schedule.
