my husband went for a massage yesterday and is left with serious red marks........is this normal

he is in pain but says its normal after getting a strong massage.
its was a chinnese place
dont think its allergic reaction cause its on specific spots they were rubbing

I had this once, the first time I had a deep strong massage and my muscles were very tight. it never happened again.
was it his first time?

I’ve gone for countless massages. If it hurts it means they did something wrong. It’s suppose to help relieve stress and make you feel good, not suppose to hurt. More like feel like falling asleep shortly after because you’re so relaxed.

Did he have 'cupping' done? That can leave marks which are not problematic. They would leave round marks, about the size of a drinking glass.

Not necessarily It depends what type of massage. A sports massage can be pretty painful.
