Are we still concerned about ebt fraud

Did they catch all the guys involved? Or are we still concerned about our accounts being emptied out? Purim and pesach are coming, really can't afford any monkey business right now.

As far as I know, Shomrim has identified suspects, but I haven't heard about them being arrested.
If you have a smartphone, you can get the EBT connect app and lock/unlock your card when it's not in use, to prevent it from fraud.

Friends account was emptied yesterday. Incidentally, immediately when her card was filled. Mine was also stolen the day benefits came in (and mine is the 1st of the month)

Check your transactions on connectebt or by calling # in back of card.
Connectebt is best because you can see where it was used

If it would be exclusive to same supermarket, then yes. But this seems like a bigger crime chain.
Also, I know they had detectives in the store when this happened last month and owner said it wasn’t his workers.

did they refill Pebt or just regular I dont usually get ebt but did get the pandemic one but havent gotten it in a while I could really use it this month Sad

Yes, EBT does roll over, and those arrested were involved in skimming EBT cards, but there are possibly more EBT thieves out there.

If you have the card number and pin, you can check when benefits are being refilled. These thieves look up the account and wait for the day the benefits are refilled to steal them all. It's a good idea to change your PIN the day before to prevent this.

None of my pebt for refilled, but I did get more than one card for each child.

And my mother also had her EBT stolen last week. It's just her so she doesn't get a lot but still, it's what she relies on.
