When Y"T comes out as a 3 day Y"T I prepare everything in one of those cholent bags before Y"T starts and put it in the fridge without water. I tie it closed and on friday I just add water and dump it in the crockpot, it takes up less room in your fridge than a big crock pot which helps with all the food Y"T and I like that it's totally sealed as opposed to a crock pot that only has a lid and can be knocked around.

My MIL cooks her cholent on a blech on the stove (the old-fashioned way!) and she puts it up Thursday night. It makes a big difference (We've compared over the years, to when she put it up friday morning).

What difference do you see?
