Yuck! I have this garbage-y smell lingering in my house since this morning. It's mostly in the kitchen/LR/DR area. I took out the garbage immediately when I woke up, all the dishes are clean and sink strainers are washed, no laundry lying around, no dead flowers, no food anywhere, floors are swept. I have no idea what's causing the smell, but it's driving me bananas. Any ideas?

Do u have an in-sink erator? I have the same issue and someone suggested maybe that's what's making the smell but I have no idea how to get rid of it...

Have you checked under the sink and under the furniture? Could be a dead mouse. Also, evil smells don't necessarily clear out the minute you remove the offending object. You need to actively ventilate by opening windows and doors and using fans.

OP here
I checked the potatoes this morning, and a few were rotting so I tossed them. I'm opening some windows now, and hopefully that will help. Thanks all!
