My dh is in an accountant (I only mention this to understand earning potential).
He is a senior manager, next step is partner.
Is there a salary cap?
He is currently making around $125,000. The company gives raises and bonuses once a year. If we combine them and say the company gives 10% more. That means he is at $137,500,
Obviously each year the 10% value gets higher and higher (this year $12500, next year $13750).
Assuming my dh deserves/earned a raise, is it reasonable to expect the company to give 10% or even more each year? At some point does the percentage get lowered because of a salary cap?

Once he's partner, there's a whole different compensation scheme. He will get salary + share of partnership profits.

OP here:
I know that but he has anywhere from 1-3 years until that point.
What happens during that time.

Does he have anything in his contract about a salary cap? If not, then I'd say there probably isn't one.

I'd ask an accountant ...
at the same company.
