I don't get the song.
It starts off saying Am Yisroel Chai, and then switches to Od Avinu Chai. (Passuk that Yosef asks his brothers if Yaakov is still alive.)
What's the connection?
I know this is a Carlbach song.
Is Avinu supposed to refer to Hashem?
If so, what's the question, is our father in Heaven still alive?
