I mentioned to my sister we might grill. She asked me how I'd turn the gas off the grill. I told her we use charcoal. Her response? "Oh, that's too much work"

My thought? So cooking for 2 hours or more for that meal isn't work?

Besides, we use the 'better' American charcoal instead of the Israeli garbage. 20 minutes and the coals are ready and none of us have to stand over the grill flapping a plate to make sure the coals catch fire (doubt you can do that on Chag anyway).

Beauty how do you make your cream of butternut squash soup? I always experiment because I dont have an exact recipe and I'm rarely satisfied with the way it comes out

I got a fantastic one once from mishpacha
I can't remember it accurately
bake squash in shells until soft - 45 min, when cool, peel and chop
meanwhile saute sliced onions in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg...
add sweet potatos, saute
add water, butternut squash, salt and pepper

I think I am getting the recipe slightly wrong, let me know if I should dig it up - this is sweet, creamy, spicy and heavenly;...
