why did you choose this over crying it out without going in? What made you think it is better? Have you ever seen that it made it harder for your child when you left again? Please share why you chose this method as I am unsure of which on to do - controlled crying or cio

there's also PU/PD, the baby whisperer method. and also the no-cry sleep solution. both of these tend to take longer, but they are gentler.

I tried controlled crying with my youngest and honestly it didn't work, it made hip cry more when I came in. I then did just CIO and it worked much better.

I chose it because it sounded less cruel than letting the baby cry for so long without going in.
I just followed what the daily email I get from What To Expect said to do... and it worked like a charm.
