Computer programmer.
Don't love the work, but brings in a good salary, and I love the people I work with, the environment is very friendly and have a good boss, so I enjoy coming to work. If I didn't have to work I wouldn't, but since I do, I'm staying put as long as I can.

Everyone seems to be enjoying their jobs... I'm guessing the people who hate their jobs are not writing?

I'm in the mental health field.. still studying.. I've heard so many people complain about horrible supervisors... another in social work can you explain what happened by you?

Oh boy, free advertising!

Self-employed. I have a small business doing space planning and design helping people remodeling or adding on kitchens, baths, bedrooms, basements, home offices, and an occasional entire house! I'm a lucky ducky — space planning is my passion! Very Happy

And I co-produce The Balabusta's Daily Organizer. That's graphic design, which I also enjoy (and teach).

Paralegal. I am satisfied. I hate the hour+ commute and walking though. It truly drains me. (NYC)

I'm a sheitelmacher and I hate it.
To the another who wants to know why not to be a sheitelmacher:
People argue over every penny and think your prices are negotiable because you work from home
People disrespect your time. Say they'll come at nine and come at twelve because what could be wrong- you work from home after all
People get mad every time they come because their $500 wig still looks like a $500 and not a $3000.
People owe you money
Self employment SUCKS
I get that the sheitel life is expensive but stop taking it out on the sheitelmacher
Women will come knocking on my grave to complain...

Do. Not. Become. A. Sheitelmacher.
If you value your quality of life

I'm a data analyst in organizational development in the healthcare field. I absolutely love what I do. It was a huge career change for me vs what I was previously doing, but I am so lucky that I got an amazing job that I love!

I'm a mom.

That's it.

Should I be sad that I don't have a profession?

Mom = Great profession.
You may need to consider a career change after your kids are grown (maybe change to professional Bubby).
