Stomaching protein in the morning

I've read online that it's a good idea to have protein in the morning- specifically for adrenal problems, the problem is that I have a hard time stomaching protein in the morning, any advice? Couldn't seem to find any advice when I googled it.

I need protein in the AM while I'm nursing otherwise I start feeling faint. I have a tortilla with 1 egg + 1 egg white toasted most mornings. Sometimes it is at 9 AM and sometimes more like 11, before that I only have coffee. I find that a good morning food. Its not like you have to have chicken or meat!

I found it takes 2 or 3 weeks to get used to it. This is what I did and it worked for me:

Force yourself to eat just protein and veg within an hour of waking (hard, I know). Make sure to add a tablespoon or two of healthy fats e.g. avocado or ghee or olive oil or even butter. to keep you full. Make sure you have enough protein and it isn't low fat e.g. 3 whole eggs. If you can't stomach it eat whatever you can and then eat the rest for lunch.

I went through days of feeling nauseous, then just not hungry, then finally actually enjoying it.
It was easier for me to avoid fruit and at least grain based carbs at the time - I think it helped adjust to digesting the protein and fast as opposed to living off a sugar high like usual (Porridge + fruit gives me a sugar high). I tried to only have veg carbs e.g. sweet potatoes at lunch time and fruit from lunch onwards, with a meal only.

I did this as part of a Whole30 and it made SUCH a difference to my energy levels. Good luck!
