By six years old children are usually night trained. Are there other issues at play? It's hard to give advice without more information. Under normal circumstances, when night training a child I have them go to the bathroom before bed and then before I go to sleep myself I take them to pee again. Eventually they learn to wake themselves up if they have to go. Sometimes not having a diaper on is more helpful so they can start to notice it better. But again, it sounds like there might be more to your story so more details might be helpful.

Ten percent of 5 year olds and five percent of 10 year olds are not dry at night. There’s not much you can do about it except wait. Taking them during the night doesn’t really help, as you’re not training their body to wake up when their bladder is full. Some kids don’t have strong enough bladder muscles and some are slow in developing a hormone that makes them wake up.
Please don’t think there’s some deep psychological problem here, it’s completely physiological and nothing the child can do about it.
These things run in families so worth asking if other people have similar issues.
There are specialists who you can go to but I think they won’t do much until the child is older.
Meanwhile just plenty of pull ups and disposable bed mats to protect the mattress. And patience
