Nowadays in Israel everything goes.

But traditionally, some cultures use, say, Yona on girls, and feminine forms of say, Daniel, Gavriel, Shaul... but also Moshe, Kalman, Mordechai... for centuries. The last ones I learned in Beider's book of first names, didn't see it irl.

There is an Israeli family living near us who have three kids; Eden, Nevo, and Guy. Guess who are the girls and who is the boy?

I'm sure it is but for me it's just a reminder of how miserable I was because of the cruel kids who made my life hell.

Avichail - I know of a girl with this name but in Tanach it's a man I think
Chen is popular for girls, but it's a man in Tanach.

I know a girl named Leron which is a boys name as well.
Oriel can also be unisex

Trust me kids find a way when they want to. They used to sing Miriam Noach built a tevah. Then when I went to sem there were a couple of girls who knew me when I was young and one of them was one of the girls who used to tease me and she started it all over again. I was not amused. It brought back painful memories for me.
